I am a PhD candidate at the sociology department of the VU University in Amsterdam. Within the POLPART project, I will mainly study the role of identity in both conventional and non-conventional political participation. I will use the qualitative method of focus groups and the quantitative questionnaire to gain insight into the social-psychological variables influencing different forms of political participation. Next to the research, I am also responsible for parts of the POLPART project management.
