Teodora obtained her Master’s degree in Comparative Politics at Vilnius University, Lithuania. She received a PhD at the Sociology Department of the VU University Amsterdam. In her doctoral dissertation she examined the role of social trust in explaining political participation in mature and post-communist societies. Her primary research interests lie in the field of political sociology, first of all, modes and the patterns of political participation, social and political attitudes, and the quality of democracy in Eastern Europe. She is currently working as a postdoctoral researcher at the Sociology department of the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and, within the POLPART project, is responsible for coordinating mega-analysis of the existing global survey data.
