Anastasia studied Psychology at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. She obtained her research master degree in Social Psychology (cum laude) at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam in 2013. In her master’s thesis, she examined political trust and evaluations of democracy in the Greek crisis. She’s currently a PhD candidate at the Sociology department of the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. Her PhD project “Doing Politics in Times of Crisis”, focuses on political participation in Europe, before and after the onset of the financial crisis. Anastasia’s research interests are contentious politics, social movements, political participation repertoires and democracy.
